Hair Craft Demonstration
We were expecting 62.
Over 110 showed up! Rich, poor, young, old, rural, urban, teachers…..ladies of all descriptions came to Marge’s craft workshop. Now the whole area is buzzing…..our 4 km drive to Banja is lined with ladies wearing necklaces they made, waving as we pass. The lesson on hygiene was invaluable, and the Bible-study was well received as well.
The necklaces will complement jewelry for hair styles. Hair craft demonstration.
“I wish they wouldn’t keep saying that!” You may remember our car troubles in February. We were delayed 2 days, with the third unscheduled stop at a place near Mau Summit. The armed soldiers who helped change the tire kept their rifles in their arms, and kept saying, “This is a dangerous place to stop”. Well, we had more car trouble coming back from Nairobi. It was near the same spot. Once again, the mechanic who finally found us said the magic words: “This is a dangerous spot to stop”. I appreciate the observation.
So Sherry will be graduating on July 12, and her brother, Gord, and two of his children, Lauren and Ethan, will be visiting to celebrate! These children are renowned for choosing their grandparents so carefully.
But that will mean driving to and from Nairobi again. Thank you for remembering us, and keeping us in mind. God bless.
